Punjab government has decided to review the 11th grade syllabus. This step was taken after students and teachers complains related to more content and mistakes in factual errors. Before this, 9th class result syllabus was also revised, this year.
Punjab has introduced new syllabus for 9th and 11th class under educational reforms in year 2025, but 11th class text book found complex content and many mistakes, after which students and teachers demanded for quick review.
Punjab Curriculumand Text Book Board (PCTB) has launched a particular committee to review the syllabus, make it better and shorten it. These committees are preparing recommendations for making syllabus easy and ensure the educational content validity.
Officials of education department has said:
“Government is committed to improve the quality of educaional content, make the syllabus more balanced, educational and student friendly.”
The preliminary recommendations to reduce 9th class syllabus has been given final shape, where both classes notification is expected in November.
These reforms are part of a wider effort to raise Punjab’s educational standards and adapt the curriculum to modern educational needs.
